ABOUT US:
ECOLOGICAL DIVERS TENERIFE is an SDI 5* PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT CENTER, currently the only one in Spain.
We train divers to the highest standards in sport and technical diving. We offer diving courses from beginners to instructor training. We have both a Course Director and an Instructor Trainer & Evaluator on our team.
The diving school and diving club Ecological Divers Tenerife was founded in 2008 by Frank Pöcze in Güímar. We have since moved to Los Abrigos. There we have better premises and a better location for diving. First we trained with CMAS through the VDST, later we switched to SSI. We were then the first SSI DIAMOND INSTRUCTOR TRAINING CENTER in the Canary Islands. In 2017 we also started training with SDI/TDI and then became a SDI 5* PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT CENTER. After the COVID lockdown in Spain, we decided to work with only one training organization and, for quality reasons, we decided to only train with SDI/TDI.

THE DIVE SCHOOL:
ECOLOGICAL DIVERS TENERIFE stands for quality in diving and training. As an SDI 5* PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT CENTER, we offer high-quality training. In the recreational diving area, we offer all courses from SDI SCUBA DISCOVERY, an introductory diving course, to instructor level. We regularly hold IDCs (Instructor Development Course) and then IECs (Instructor Evaluation Course). In the technical diving area, we offer most of the TDI courses and instructor courses. Our rental equipment for the courses and dives is as good as new and always serviced. Here, too, we have a large range to cover the areas of recreational diving and technical diving. We have diving cylinders in all sizes, including double cylinders, stage cylinders, sidemount cylinders in various sizes, and also cylinders for rebreathers. We use compressed air, nitrox, trimix, and 100% oxygen. We have a special area for rebreather divers so that they can prepare their CCRs without rushing or interruptions. For academic training, we have a class room for 10 people, equipped with the latest technical equipment.
