At Ecological Divers in Tenerife, we host official SDI Course Director Workshops (CDW) and SDI Instructor Trainer Workshops once or twice a year. These high-level programs are conducted by internationally renowned Instructor Trainer Evaluators (ITEs) – including respected professionals such as Mark Powell.

Your Path to Becoming an SDI Course Director

SDI Instructors who wish to advance to SDI Course Director must first staff a complete SDI Instructor Development Course (IDC), as active participation is a mandatory requirement for certification.

To help you prepare thoroughly for this role and the workshop itself, we offer three tailored CDW Pre-Training Packages:

CDW Pre-Training – Bronze Package

Includes:
Passive participation in an IDC – observation and documentation only, no active instruction.
Duration: 5–6 days
Cost: €500 

CDW Pre-Training – Silver Package

Includes:
Personal mentoring by the IDC trainer, including in-depth feedback, debriefings, and guided improvement.
Duration: 5–6 days
Cost: €750

CDW Pre-Training – Gold Package

Includes:
An intensive, personalized training program with full support to prepare you thoroughly for the CDW.
Duration: 6–10 days
Cost: €1,200

We strongly recommend choosing the Silver or Gold Package to ensure you’re well-prepared and confident going into the CDW.
